Peshawar 2.0 held the graduation day of the 2nd cycle of Revolt, its incubation and acceleration program for startups at Basecamp Peshawar. After the conclusion of Revolt’s second 3-month cycle, young entrepreneurs who developed raw ideas into prototypes and startup businesses presented in front of a packed house at Basecamp Peshawar. Revolt winter cycle had kicked off in December 2017 with 9 startups and 20 incubatees.
Revolt is an intense 12-week sprint by Peshawar 2.0 for founders, entrepreneurs or students who want to turn their ideas, products, prototypes, and final year projects into startups. The strictly residential program is run by partners who are entrepreneurs themselves.
The Demo-day started off with opening remarks of Dr. Faisal Khan, CEO Peshawar 2.0, who congratulated the startups. He said: “Peshawar 2.0 is a social enterprise which aims to inspire the next generation of Tech Startup Founders, Entrepreneurs, Scientists, Designers, and Artists in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. 90% of the startups fail, but their founders succeed because the chances of their success increase significantly in their future startups.” His words were uplifting for the spirits of the startups who were waiting for their pitches. All the long hours, stress, hard work and excitement of 3 months came down to the final presentations of Demo Day.
The event was attended by techies, designers, founders, university professors, government officials, investors, creative folks and it ended with a networking session.
